BioDynami´s magnetic beads consist of paramagnetic particles coated with a proprietary chemistry to reversibly bind small nucleic acids.
Other suppliers´ magnetic beads can only purify DNA/RNA fragments that are 100 base pairs or longer whereas shorter fragments are not effectively recovered. BioDynami have developed unique magnetic beads for short oligos based on their proprietary chemistries overcoming the hurdle of the short DNA/RNA recovery problem. The Magnetic Beads-based Short Oligo Purification Kit enables the recovery of oligos as short as 6 nt – 80% of 6 nt oligos and 90% of > 8 nt oligos are recovered. The reagent effectively removes impurities and unwanted components such as salts, proteins, dNTPs, detergents, and other contaminants. The magnetic bead reagents are RNase free, and can be used for both DNA and RNA applications.
The magnetic beads for short oligos are optimized to selectively bind short oligos > 5nt and and can be applied to most challenging applications requiring highly purified samples.
