Description
Phi29 DNA Polymerase – for Whole Genome Amplification by MDA, Rolling Circle Amplification, Sequencing and Cell-Free Cloning
- Recombinant highly purified, tag free, and cost-effective Phi29 DNA Polymerase
- Extremely active: Highly processive mesophilic enzyme (up to 70kb) with exceptionally strong strand displacement activity, ideal for isothermal amplification of minute DNA amounts
- 3’→5′ proofreading exonuclease function ensures high-fidelity amplification
TriAltus’ extremely pure, tag-free Phi29 DNA polymerase is a highly processive, mesophilic enzyme from Bacillus subtilis phage phi29, known for its exceptionally strong strand displacement activity and high processivity enabling the synthesis of long DNA fragments up to 70 kb. Its robust 3’→5′ proofreading exonuclease function ensures high-fidelity amplification, making it ideal for applications like whole genome amplification and DNA sequencing preparation.
APPLICATIONS
- Multiple displacement amplification (MDA)
- Whole genome amplification (WGA)
- Rolling circle amplification (RCA)
- Preparation of DNA template for sequencing
- Cell-free cloning
