Description
pREV – Individual HIV Lentiviral Packaging Plasmid
pREV is a Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) lentiviral packaging plasmid, encoding the HIV-1 REV gene. Together with a second lentiviral packaging plasmid named pGAG, and a third plasmid which encodes the VSV-G envelope protein, the mix of three plasmids provides all necessary structural, regulatory, and replication proteins required to produce pseudotyped packaged lentiviral constructs. The three plasmids are available as an optimized mix as Ready-to-use Lentiviral Packaging Plasmid Mix (3 Plasmid Mix).
pREV is offered as individual packaging plasmid in case you need to produce your own lentiviral packaging mix in your laboratory. This enables the flexibility to use different packaging plasmid ratios, for example, to maximize titer in your cell line of interest, and also allows for the use of alternative envelope plasmids and packaging plasmids.
