BioDynami´s magnetic beads are based on SPRI (Solid Phase Reversible Immobilization) and consist of paramagnetic particles coated with carboxyl groups that reversibly bind small nucleic acids.
Other suppliers´ magnetic beads can only purify DNA/RNA fragments that are 100 base pairs or longer whereas shorter fragments are not effectively recovered. BioDynami have developed unique magnetic beads for small RNA and oligos based on their proprietary chemistries overcoming the hurdle of the short DNA/RNA recovery problem. The beads purify short DNA/RNA effectively by removing impurities and unwanted components such as dNTPs, detergents, salts, proteins, and other contaminants. The bead reagents are RNase free, and can be used for both RNA and DNA applications.
The magnetic beads for Small RNA and Oligos/ Short DNA are optimized to selectively bind RNA and Oligos > 19nt and short DNA > 19 bp and can be applied to most challenging applications requiring highly purified samples.
